A lovely resting place and day trip destination in Tahko
The secret of Lake Syväri, the beautiful Kammonluoto, is an island about 140 meters long, with an area of more than 3,000 m2, to the north from Tahko tourism area. The charming excursion destination includes a campfire place, firewood and an outdoor toilet. The island has tiny nature trails and its beaches are nice places to enjoy the surrounding landscape.
Kammonluoto is easily accessible by small boats, canoes and SUP boards. In winter, the destination is a popular stop over for snowmobiles, winter fishermen and cross-country skiers.

Self-guided canoe trip to Kammonluoto
During summer and autumn, Kammonluoto is most easily reached by canoe, kayak or SUP board. Canoeing to the destination takes about half an hour, so booking about 2 hours for the trip should be enough for a relaxing stay on the Island.
Canoes and SUP boards in Tahko can usually be rented also in September, depending on the temperature.
